Alberto Plácido is a photographer, but photography in his artwork is one of the elements that he uses to create installations where the territory and the geographical space, and how we capture - or not - this space are the hallmark.
Landscape, experimenting landscape through photography, that is the moving nucleus of all the work. It is a subject developed as a way of reflecting upon, and researching, the landscape through the photographic process. The intention is to trigger the inception of a moment of reflection, hence opening the rise of one question: the importance of photography, as a means of artistic expression, in the construction of the notion of landscape.
His projects/installations are spatially interventional, sometimes requiring the interaction of the viewer in discovering the narrative of new possibilities and ways to perceve the territory and the idea of landscape.
