description   sculptures and installations in glass

Silvia Levenson explores themes related to the stereotype of womanhood and domesticity. The infant universe, the family and the lovers relationships and the role of women in contemporary society are concerns that she reflects in her work, where there is a real and assumed artistic provocation.

Silvia Levenson uses the glass, its transparency and delicacy, as an element that introduces smoothness and calm in the pieces, but the violence or the cruelty and the tension of forms and the themes, coupled with the irony of the whole, transform her work in a surprising and just apparent contradiction.
