exhibition "from florence with love" - 21st january to 25th february 2012

Maybe because of his roots, the imaginary universe of the rich traditions and the colorful folklore of his Russian-Jewish heritage from his immigrant grandparents, Jules Maidoff created works always closer to the European humanistic tradition than to the North-American abstract style of the past-war era. Being a painter of very intense expression, Jules Maidoff does not leave the viewer indifferent. His paintings transmit the strength of his personality and, by telling a story in each canvas, inspire to a vivid emotional response. The artist tells his stories in an unreal atmosphere that invites one to hold their breath for a moment and simply listen.
